I Love Lucy

Tonight I was watching "I Love Lucy" and enjoying my horrible allergies and sinuses. Gotta love Ragweed! Anyways, it got me thinking how happy it makes me. You can't watch it without laughing out loud at least once. I have the complete collection of "I Love Lucy" and "Friends," and whenever I feel bad I put one of them in and it takes my mind off of whatever is bothering me and lets me laugh for a little while. Needless to say, they were almost worn out while I was sick. I still watch them before I go to bed because it helps shut my mind off for the night (I know it's a big no-no, but it works). I truly believe it was one of the things that has helped keep me positive these last 3 years. Finding a release from the world is so helpful to everyone, not just those facing a crisis. Whether it's exercise, movies, knitting, reading, or a combination of everything, we all need to decompress and relax. I struggle with it everyday, but if I can find 20 minutes to take a hot bath or a half hour to watch my favorite show, then I feel so much better.

I appreciate all the kinds words I have been receiving about my blog. It's actually a lot of fun and great therapy to put some of the things that I think and feel down. I hope that I am not depressing too many people, I am trying to find ways to keep a very serious and somewhat depressing subject, light and funny. I hope I am succeeding. If you have any questions or would like to share a story, please do so.
